Marat Safir
President

Marat founded Taurus Realty Partners upon realization that there was a true need for a pure end-user advocate on the industrial real estate end. He wanted to be able to bring all his expertise into a transparent process so that end-users can knowledgeably approach landlords/owners with their requests and make knowledgeable decisions when it came to real estate. This in turn, will allow a more efficient and cost-effective approach on both sides. Ultimately, his vision of this unique position in the market ensures that end-users maximize their leverage and minimize overall operational costs. This vision is instilled in all team members at Taurus Realty Partners.

Marat's overall responsibility consists of managing the overall operations. In addition, he spearheads key strategic development and client development. This includes day-to-day transaction brokerage and advisory to existing and prospective clients. With Taurus Realty Partners, he saw an opportunity not only to represent industrial end-users but more specifically users in the packaging related industries. He founded and co-manages the Packaging Practice Group, the only such practice of its kind.

Since 1996, Marat has been involved in approximately 200 transactions totaling over $425 million. In the previous nine years he assisted in forming an Industrial Practice Group at UGL Equis, one of the largest corporate real estate services firms in the world. Over those nine years, he was part of team that was successful in negotiating some of the largest industrial transactions in the company's long history. Prior to UGL Equis, Marat was an account executive for The Spiro Group, a Chicago-based tenant representative firm. It is here that he first encountered and grasped the importance of a non-conflicted approach when representing tenants.

Marat received his bachelors from Loyola University-Chicago. He currently resides in Chicago and is involved outside firm. He is active in the community with organizations such as the Jewish United Fund and American Diabetes Foundation.
